I. “It’s All Good in the Hood”

The faux bullet hole design outlines
the ideogrammatic brand name only sold in China.
The model struts though shot after shot.
Who wouldn’t stop for her when she raises
her hand, an accessory around her wrist; recycled metal

A rainstorm would be convenient
now, but you were never one
for that, always preferred enigma
and surprise. The more I asked,
the more you took away. First,

the flower, its husk is too
